Hedge Trimmers

When it comes to lighter duty work the electric hedge trimmers are convenient and light to use. Electric hedge trimmers will typically cope with branches of 13 – 20mm diameter. They require very little maintenance but are hindered in use by the mains cable and the need for a convenient electricity supply. It is always recommended that an RCD safety device be used with these machines.
If you are looking to cut thicker branches or be more free to roam further with the trimmer, a two-stroke petrol hedge trimmer is probably the better option.
Brush Cutters & Strimmers
Whether your requirement is for a powerful brush cutter capable of heavy work or a garden strimmer to tidy up lawn edges and weeds, South Yorkshire Mowers have an excellent range of electric and petrol brush cutters and strimmers from all the leading manufacturers to suit your requirements. Prices range from £50 to £800.
Brush cutters – These have a straight shaft and the cutting head is usually driven by a solid drive shaft which makes it possible to fit a metal cutting blade for heavier cutting work. Most machines will accept attachments, the most popular of which is the pole hedge cutter which allows for easy and safe cutting of higher hedges. The majority of brush cutters are 2-stroke petrol engine driven.
Strimmers – These usually have a bent shaft and the cutting head is driven by a flexible drive shaft. These machines are usually only fitted with a nylon line head and are suitable for edge trimming and light duty weed clearance and come in both 2-stroke petrol and electric formats. Electric machines are really only suitable for small gardens where a tidy edge or light weed trimming is required. These machines vary in power from 300w to 1000w.

We have petrol chainsaws for every imaginable application from light domestic use to professional and forestry use. We also offer a great selection of electric powered chainsaws with low noise, zero-emission motors.
Our fully equipped workshop offers a full servicing, repair and maintenance programme for every chainsaw we sell (and ones we don't!). All of our work is carried out to the manufacturer's specifications and standards.

Backpack Blowers - A great product from Stihl, these blowers are mainly used for professional clearing of leaves, grass and waste paper from public areas or large private estates.
